It’s important to remember which demonstrative adjectives have ‘t’s:
Fortunately, there’s a little rhyme you can use to help you remember!
__This_______ and __these___ have t’s,

__That__ and __those__ don’t.

If you need some help getting started, here’s how I wrote the example:
If you were standing in the back of the room (you can go ahead and do this, if you want!), the black hat is here, the yellow and maroon cap is there, and the cowboy hat is a fair amount farther away; it’s wayyyyyy over there.  So...
  1. FIRST, say it in Spanish: hat en español - el gorro.
  2. Look at the ‘the’ to figure out what my adjectives will end with: el, so they end with ‘e’.
  3. Write down the DAs - este, ese, & aquel gorro
  4. Then, change the endings, (of the colors duh!)
este gorro negro; ese gorro amarillo; aquel gorro café claro

Remember the process!
  1. Say it in Spanish
  2. Look at the ‘the’
  3. Write down the DAs (este/ese/aquel)
  4. Change the endings, (of the colors duh!)

el suéter: rosado y morado verde morado
la camisa:  roja y blanca azul morada
los pantalones: blancos anaranjados azules
los calcetines: azules rosados azules y rojos
